About Us

Young Marines of the Marine Corps League
Statement of Purpose

To promote the mental, moral, and physical development of its members.
To instill in its members the ideals of honesty, fairness, courage, respect, loyalty, dependability, attention to duty, love of God, and fidelity to our country and its institutions.
To stimulate an interest in, and respect for, academic achievement and the history and traditions of the United States of America.
To promote physical fitness through the conduct of physical activities, including participation in athletic events and close order drill.
To advocate a drug-free lifestyle through a continual drug prevention education program.

Please take a moment and re-read the Statement of Purpose. Think of ways that you incorporate these same values at homeremember we only have your child for approximately 12 hours a month. Make sure your child has responsibilities that make your family function as a unit. Discuss current events with your child to develop a love of country and citizenship. Bring us a copy of your childs final report card so they earn the Academic Achievement award. Institute a physical fitness regime that can be beneficial for all family members. Help them study for their promotion exams. Encourage them to utilize the chain of command while at Young Marine functions. Visit the Young Marines websites often. Keep us informed of any personal achievements so we can celebrate and reinforce their pride in accomplishing their goals.

Introduction of the staff:
Commanding Officer - Maj. Scott Brinton
Executive Officer - Dan Snyder

In addition, we welcome the services of all the adults who volunteer their time and energy to turn all our functions into events.

Recruit Information: Recruits are not Young Marinesyet. Until your child has successfully completed and shown proficiency in the required Young Marine recruit training, they will be considered recruits. At that point, they will have earned the title of Young Marine.  Please let us know if you are interested in signing your child up for the Young Marines. We accept enrollments all throughout the year.

If you have questions, comments, suggestions, complaints, need more information about this unit, our regiment, division or National placement PLEASE let us know.

We look forward to your active and informed involvement in the LCpl Brian R. Buesing Young Marines.
